Slaying the Day as a California Bae: Tuesday, February 10, 2026: The one where she's at the MTC

Hello!!!

Wow what a week, well I guess 2 weeks.

I have been learning so much! These two weeks have been really long and also have gone by so fast.

Home MTC was interesting, big flashback to online school during covid. Getting up at 6:30 has been hard but I keep reminding myself at least it's not 4:30 like I used to for work.

The sisters in my district have been a blessing. They are so fun, we laugh and sing all day. I'm glad to have met them. I love the elders in my district, they are so funny and we have a great time in class. The sisters I'm rooming with are so fun, I love them. Good times. I'll be sad to part with them in a week. It's funny sharing a room with people again, trying to fall asleep the first night was an experience for sure.

The cafeteria is pretty cool, they have a specific room for gluten free and the food is actually really good. They have a great selection of different drinks, no Dr. Pepper tho, sad day. The chocolate milk honestly tastes like chocolate milk, the hype is a lie. Don't get me wrong it's good but nothing to die for.

I think the hardest thing we have to do are the Helping Other Appointment. This is where me and my companion go and visit one of the MTC employees pretending to be an investigator. So very stressful. It's kinda like a getting a shot, the anticipation is always way worse than the actual needle. We had an appointment yesterday and let me tell you, the worst stress ever. But oh man God is good. He carried us through that meeting. The spirit was so present we were able to share our message and give an invitation. Blessings for real.

Sometimes in those moments when it gets hard or frustrating and I start doubting why I'm here or if I am good enough. I always rely on the fact that the lord wants me here. And who am I to question the lord. I am right where he wants me.
