This week is called dead week. Because everyone is busy with finals and the minute they finish they leave for home because of spring break. Seriously, walking around campuses this week gave me the vibes of what it would be like in a dystopian horror zombie movie, lol.
Tuesday was planning day, we had a lesson in Cayucos so that was a stunning drive as usual. Unfortunately she canceled on us just as we made it up there so we had to turn around and drive home. It's about a 40 minute drive up there so in all 80 minutes. Kinda disappointing but ya know.
Wednesday was cool. We had two back to back lessons. They both were invited to pray and read from the Book of Mormon and they both accepted!!! They were so cool! We also got to help teach the Activity day girls about testimony. It was really cute to see them give their testimonies to each other!
Thursday was the first time I actually went and knocked on doors. It took a long time and we only got to talk to 3 people and they all said no. But hey kinda fun. This was the hottest day yet. It got all the way up to 99. Yuck.
Friday also super hot. Only to 93 but still, so hot. We had dinner with the Ashbys which was fun! Their oldest daughter left on her mission just a month after I did and their 2nd kid is preparing to leave at the end of this year!
Saturday was the longest day of my life. We walked around and met no one. Studied at Parkes filled with zero people. We went downtown for a little while and finally we witnessed the human race. But ya no one wanted to talk to us. We had no lessons and no one was answering their phones. So a ya a long day. We did meet Ernesto at the very end of the day which was cool.
Sunday was kinda a lazy day. We had a ton of meeting and lots of studying. We park hopped a lot. On the biggest plus side of my whole entire life, at one of the parks there was a birthday party going on and they had princesses at the party!!! Moana and Ariel!!! The closest I'll ever get to Disneyland out here, lol.
