Slaying the Day as a California Bae: Monday, May 18, 2026: The One With The Shoe Box

Monday

P-DAY!!!

We played ultimate Frisbee, not a fan. But we went down town and walked around for a bit, so fun! We didn't go grocery shopping because we are headed into starve week. Week of transfers you don't know if you are staying or leaving so you don't buy food or nothing. Lol

Tuesday

Weekly planning! Last one of the transfer! We had our celebratory chomp a chonga! We spent a lot of the day walking around campus and being outside!

Wednesday

Last day of the transfer! Of course we had waffles! This was a day filled with so many mir!!! We found 3 people!!! So exciting! We wandered around downtown and made a pit stop at Gum Ally, really gross. Took pictures with some oh so dear members, ya know for just in cases.

Thursday

Welp she's leaving. Good bye SLO, hello Simi Vally!!! My new companion is Sister Hopkins! She is absolutely lovely! Our apartment is apparently the smallest in the mission, it's called The Shoe Box, because it is a perfect little box. It's so fun! It is very cozy! Sister Hopkins is leaving this transfer, very bitter sweet. And it's a short one, we only have 5 weeks. Sad days. I got to meet the Guido family, they are so fun, the house is absolute chaos. 10/10

Friday

Simi is so fun! We had a whopping 7 lessons. And thee friends are on date for baptism!!! It was an exciting day for sure!!!

Saturday

5 lessons! It was such a fun day. I was completely exhausted oh man we were running around all day.

Sunday

The YSA ward was canceled this week so all of our friends went to the family wards. Because everyone is spread out we ended up going to all 3 wards because we had a friend at all of them! It was fun and very stressful, lol.

This week was filled with so many tears, good and sad ones. But so many miricals!
