So ya i definitely wrote this and then didn't send it out… but now you get two, your welcome.
Monday
P-DAY!!!
We went on a super pretty hike!!! There is a large M on one of the mountains and we hiked to it! Super pretty and shady!
SHE HAS A COSTCO CARD!!! Courtesy of Maren! So that was amazing! Don't worry, I will stay away from the ice cream, lol.
Tuesday
Zone Conference!!! So amazing, I seriously love President and sister Rodrigez. We got to meet one on one and he was able to give me so much hope and peace. I seriously can feel my savior's love so strong through this wonderful man! He has given me so much strength and the courage to be brave and to continue to do this wonderful work.
Wednesday
Weekly planning!! yay! We have a companion council every week. It's a half hour to go get a treat and talk about our feelings. I usually cry, lol. this week we went to the gas station and got redbulls, lol, and yummy! so yummy!
Waffle Wednesday!!! so yummy! we do our companion study and eat waffles! we spend probably around 20 minutes talking to sister Pearson, she makes the waffles, we count it as service, lol. It's fun!
Thursday
exchanges!!! Sister Gleason Part Two! she came here to Slo! It was such a fun day! really truly! It was so fun to show her around campus! I got to show her my favorite study spots and hidden gardens. and of course i had to take her to SloDoCO! They have the best gluten free donuts.Such a fun day!
Friday
We walked a whole ton today. Unfortunately all of our friends are ghosting us or are dead. so we have to go out and find more, which means walking everywhere. We met a really cool guy named Chris! his family owns an olive oil company in Santa Maria and he gave us some for free for being so nice to him and listening to his no good day. he was cool. he was trying to pay a parking meter and it still his money, he was waiting for some to show up and refund him(no one did). I told him about the institute and if you have a 75% attendance they give you free parking. so hopefully he comes!
Saturday
Mission Walk Day. holy moly it was a really hot day. We walked for a grand total of just over 7.5 hours. We had fun tho. A member had us over for a fun lunch, the best gluten free pancakes of my life, so good. and then for dinner the institute was having a bbq and intro to institute class for the seniors. They had tri tip!!! so so so good! to push us through the day we agreed to stop at the gas station during the hottest part of the day, much needed reward! The day was long and filled with so much rejection, we came away with nothing that day. just a day filled with planting seeds. On the plus side we got to wander around downtown, 10/10 would absolutely recommend it, so fun.
Sunday
No friends at church, kinda a bummer so ya. sacrament was good, we showed up early because Sister Waite is now in charge of playing the piano for the meeting! It was fun to sing along with her as she practiced. Our new member has been blowing us off a lot and it's been difficult to meet with him and get him to keep any commitment. We planned to meet today and he “forgot” again. Then after we called him we got a really disappointing text. He basically told us he was no longer interested in coming to church, he was going to explore his options somewhere else. So that honestly sucks, he was baptised about 6 months ago, i cried. other people exercising their agency sometimes really just kicks you in the shins. what a rip, anyway so pray for him, i certainly am.
